CLAP!
JLO HOUSES, 2022
Tetouan, Madrid
THE STARTING POINT
We came across a premises that had previously been a bar, which we wanted to convert into two apartments. Being at street level, we had to address the issue of privacy.
THE CHALLENGE
The goal was to create a welcoming space, taking into account that a street-level apartment doesn't have the same characteristics as an apartment. Therefore, it was important to focus on privacy and the domestic space at street level.
THE RESULT
A workspace. Two dwellings, one with one bedroom and the other with an open-plan layout. Both are configured so that a beechwood spine defines the living room and kitchen area, as well as the storage spaces.
